Precautions to Take at Home:

            Your surgeon will provide you with post operative instructions regarding your diet, rest, etc.  The center will have this information in a written form.  We suggest you pamper yourself for the first 24 hours after surgery.  It is recommended that you have an adult stay with you.

Since it is normal to feel drowsy after anesthesia we recommend you postpone the following activities for 24 hours after surgery:

• Driving or operating equipment
• Signing important papers
• Drinking alcoholic beverages or taking medications without your physicians approval
